I am an American coming to you from Sweden. I’m living in Sweden with my wife and three kids.
I grew up and went to school in New Jersey. After graduating from college, I moved to Central America for two years where I studied Spanish, backpacked, got parasites (three times), climbed volcanoes and worked in a Spanish school.
Then I fell in love with a Swedish woman in Guatemala and moved to Sweden, where I’ve lived for over nine years now. I’ve tried to learn Swedish, taught yoga, worked as a freelance journalist, been on paid paternity leave twice, worked at a bank, in radio, for a large Swedish engineering company, and now with human rights.
This blog used to be called From Sweden. I reported on Swedish life in general and my life in Sweden. But now this blog is about something else. I’ve been thinking more about how I want to write about life and not just be tied down to Sweden. Then I realized, I had a url that I used that pretty much sums up how I feel about things. So I’ve decided to use the same url, but change the name of the blog to Much Is Said In Jest and to just get going. Let’s see what happens. Oh, and thanks for being here!
